Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Marinca is a Romanian actress. She made her screen debut through the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic for which she won the British Academy Television Award for Best actress. Speaks French, German, English as well as Romanian well. Her father is a theatre professor at one of Romania's top theater schools. In the Mangalia Gala of Young Actors, she was awarded the Best Female Actor Award 2000. In 2008, she was honoured as a European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. She was a teacher for four months in the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu in Iasi. bAnamaria is an Romanian Actress born 01 April 1978, Iasi Romania. Apart from her stellar performance in her first film, the actress will remember her role on the Romanian movie "4 months 3 weeks 2 days" that won her numerous prizes, including the European Film Award of Best Actress from the London Film Critics. In 2007, she was in on the Romanian film 4 luni 3 semaines si2 (4 months, 3 weeks, and 3 Weeks, 2 Days) which was directed produced by Cristian Mungiu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days). The film won two awards at Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Youth Without Youth by Francis Ford Coppola was another film that she was in. In 2008 she was the character Yasim Anwar in BBC mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca was a guest on her own Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven. In the feature film Fury (2014), she played Irma, a German woman, who served as Emma's aunt.
