Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor is an American producer and actress. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is an actor, producer as well as an American actor who is active in theater as well as television and film. She began acting on stage before appearing in independent, mainstream and television series. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for which she not only received high praise but also numerous nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Movie. She made her professional acting debut as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. On Broadway she was a part of the cast in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Her film work is highlighted by her performances as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. In television, her role in the ABC's crime drama High Incident is well known.
